Heartstrings
Based in Central Minnesota, Heartstrings is the perfect ensemble for beautiful event music in the Twin Cities area and beyond. We service Minneapolis, St. Paul, Rochester, St. Cloud, Mora, Cambridge, Brainerd, Nisswa, and more. Heartstrings frequently plays as a duet. Our most popular ensembles are piano and cello, violin and cello, and guitar and cello. We also have solo musicians on guitar, piano, violin, or cello. Hire us for a wedding ceremony, anniversary, reception music, funeral or memorial service, corporate event, private party, or holiday gathering.
Julia & Joe
Heartstrings is managed by Julia and Joe Peterson. Joe and Julia have been playing music together since their own wedding in 2018. Julia is a classically trained cellist who studied at Dartmouth College and Boston University. Joe is a self-taught, multi-instrumentalist who has been playing professionally for more than 20 years. In addition to playing music, Julia and Joe own and operate a farm in Milaca, MN called Peterson's Farm (more at petersonsfarmmn.com).
